Cooperative La Union
J. Hornig Nuevo Oriente from Guatemala
The Arabica beans for this single origin coffee come from the region of Nuevo Oriente in Guatemala. The farmers of the small cooperative La Union cultivate exceptional green coffee in the small town of Lampocoy at 1,000-1,500 meters above sea level. The climate is rather cool and humid – excellent conditions for our beans to unfold their potential before they make their way directly to Graz, where we roast them by following the traditional drum roasting method. This results in a specialty coffee with a chocolatey aroma, a medium fullness, and a spicy body.
Filter Roast: Perfect for alternative brewing methods such as Pour Over, Aeropress or French Press.
Espresso Roast: Perfect for fully automatic coffee machines or espresso machines.
